After KTHS I married Joyce Martin 1n 1962. We have one son Audie, now 48. We were divorced after two years. In 1966 I while working at Mississippi Valley Structural Steel Co. A friend and I was sitting near a lunch wagon eating when the most beautiful woman I had ever seen came out of our Office area wearing a light blue searsucker mini-skirt with heels. She was a true” TEN.” I commented to my friend that I was going to hit on her and ask her for a date. He laughed along with others who were there and said that she would not give me the time of day. I said to him that not only would I capture that little Queen I will probably marry her. We were married aug. 2nd 1967 and I was drafted into the Army Aug.29th for 2 years during Veit Nam. Faye and I have been married 43 years and have 2 daughters Ginger and Melisa. We have 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and she is still with the love of my life. We are both Christians and that has kept us together and happy. I am a very blessed man who is thankful to GOD for having a school such as KTHS with It”s teachers that taught me not only school subjects, but character building things that have helped me through life. Mr. Ralph Pennington, my electrical teacher taught and inspired me very well. Mr. Apperson also taught and led by example of how to be a gentleman. These are 2 of the best ever at Kirkman . I have followed the electrical trade for most of my working career and have worked at TVA Sequoyah Nuclear Plant for 31 years with 22 of those as An instructor with plans to retire in October of this year. Faye and I am looking forward to reunion. Also let”s get together at other times. MY best friend was LEWIS Casteel and Robert Frye along . with the basketball team. The 61 class came up in the best of times in the history of our country and this old man is thankful for that.
